After surviving a triple bypass and rebuilding his life through adversity, he now helps audiences develop resilience, personal responsibility, discipline, and purpose.
My next guest is Robert "Happyfeet" Hernandez — a transformational speaker, author, and triple bypass survivor who turned his deepest pain into a mission to help others rise. He’s the author of Life After a Triple Bypass and Winners Get It Done!, and has spent over 12 years working with high-risk youth, justice-involved individuals, and recovery communities. Today he’s going to share what it really means to transform pain into power. Robert, welcome.
Our next speaker is a man who has stared down death, rebuilt his life from the ground up, and turned every setback into a setup for something greater. He’s a triple bypass survivor, author of two powerful books, and a transformational speaker who has served high-risk youth and recovery communities across Southern California for over 12 years. His message is simple and powerful: you were built to rise again. Please welcome Robert "Happyfeet" Hernandez.
Robert "Happyfeet" Hernandez is a transformational speaker, author, and Self-Mastery teacher whose life story is the message. Born into adversity, he fell down a flight of stairs at age 3, lost his father at age 4, and spent his childhood battling severe dyslexia. At 15, his mother chose her common-law husband over her own son — a rejection that could have broken him, but instead became the foundation for something greater.
Years later, Robert survived a triple bypass surgery that nearly took his life. He is the author of Life After a Triple Bypass and Winners Get It Done!, and has served high-risk youth, justice-involved individuals, and recovery communities for over 12 years across Southern California. His message is faith-friendly, deeply human, and built on lived experience, not theory.
Robert "Happyfeet" Hernandez is a transformational speaker, author, and Self-Mastery teacher whose life story is the message. Born into adversity, Robert fell down a flight of stairs at age 3 and lost his father at age 4. He spent his childhood battling severe dyslexia — misunderstood, rejected, and overlooked in classrooms that had no patience for how his mind worked.
One of the most defining moments of his early life came at 15, when his mother was forced to choose between Robert and her common-law husband — and chose the man over her son. That rejection could have broken him. Instead, it became the foundation for something greater.
Years later, Robert faced another life-altering crisis: a triple bypass surgery that tested him physically, emotionally, and spiritually — he nearly died on the operating table. Rather than surrender to fear or bitterness, he chose to use the experience as a wake-up call to fully embrace his purpose.
He is the author of Life After a Triple Bypass, a raw, honest account of facing death and choosing life, and Winners Get It Done!, a character-driven guide to finishing strong no matter what. Robert has served high-risk youth, justice-involved individuals, and recovery communities for over 12 years across Southern California. His message is faith-friendly, deeply human, and grounded in lived experience, not theory.

Signature Talk
Transform Pain into Power
Your audience leaves with a completely different relationship to their pain — not avoiding it, but using it as fuel for purpose and transformation.
“Robert ‘Happyfeet’ Hernandez is one of the most faithful, loyal, and dedicated people I’ve ever known. What sets him apart is simple, he lives what he talks about. He doesn’t just speak on overcoming obstacles; he’s conquered them himself. His passion to help others isn’t scripted, it’s personal. You feel it.”
Westly Davis Jr.Founder, Wendale Davis Foundation
“I’ve known Robert since he was 21. He was raw but different, I could tell he truly wanted to change. Over time I watched him grow into a man with real purpose. He’s become a powerhouse. Not just someone who talks, but someone whose actions speak volumes.”
Robert is an engaging guest who speaks openly about his story. These are suggested conversation starters, not verbatim quotes — use them as a jumping-off point for your own conversation.
